Are you guys stoked for our new president as much as i am

Though I am a conservative libertarian I think Mr. Obama may do the right thing and govern from the center. I use to be a hardcore republican but how they have handled things lately (internal not foreign policy) I have become more libertarian. President Bush's policy's have been a bit too liberal for my taste and while Obama is a democrat he says he will represent all sides which is what a president should do. Because the President does not represent himself, his religion, party, or race, he represents the Constitution and the laws sef forth from it. So basically I like the guy, hate the party, and I don't care for a large portion of our population because many voted based on race which is kinda barbaric in my opinion.

Exactly i live in the rural part of PA and i know it's stereotyping but all my family neighbors and friends are all rebublican and care more that he is muslium and would not vote for him for that, his race and his middle name. They never really saw what he stood for and what he wants to bring to this country.

unfortinitly i'm not 18 yet so i couldn't vote but i am extremly interested in politics and would want to graduate and study more into it but ii'm focusing on majoring in Computer information science and programming and math.

but i guess it doesn't mean i can't stop studying it lol

Keep studying politics, its just what influences every day llife, you know? I'm an economics major with a military science minor and I study history, philosophy, religions, science, etc. The more the better. I'm a bit worried about the government being so heavily dominated by the Democrats that nothing will really change. If you noticed the Republicans acted pretty liberal themselves. In my opinion if you fall to far to the left or right there really become no difference except only in names.
