I think Prophet summed it up nicely. You'd simply be dumbing down the single player experience if you ad co-op. And one of the few complaints I had about Dead Space was how long the story was. I wanted to play longer. I wanted to at least another 5 hours of gameplay. With developing a multiplayer mode and time constraints the length of the game will probably shorten. Monster-slaughterfests are fun but about a 1,000 games are doing it. DS is one of the few (if only recent game) that is not about just flat out killing monsters.

Извените, не очень понимаю английский. НО идея кооперативного режима в игре классная ибо нет хорошей игры ужастика где можно с друзьями кооперативно пройти игру. Тем кому не нравиться этот режим - могут его просто не использовать и все.....

Are you kidding me? No! I do agree with a Co-Op though, if a new charactor was introduced. If Isaac is going to be alone, then keep it single player.
Deathmatch and Multiplayer though? Wow dont turn this into a Left For Dead crap.

I'm "Half'n Half" on the subject of Co-Op I see both sides pretty well so I'll just say the way I see it.
If there is a Co-op mode featured doesn't mean you have to do it. Pro: After beating the game in single player which I strongly recommend doing so before attempting any Co-op games you can go back an relive those parts you really enjoyed with a friend's or just have fun going level to level with a buddy. Thing is Co-op could be potentially fun. Con: People wont play the game in single player to give them the chills and fears this game is striving for and then they'll come complain about how this game was crap before ever really experiencing it at full capacity. Con: Over powering the player's having two plasma cutter in the first game would have really set things off balance then throw in being able to aim both those plasma cutter at different target's taking away from the feeling of "Crap I really need to watch how much ammo I'm using on each enemy". Pro: Reducing ammo drops and stash's for Co-op Toning down the damage amount for each weapon giving still a feeling of desperation. Now these are just Idea's an Opinions but I felt like posting them. |
