Default Confirmed!

"Dead Space is a third-person survival horror-action video game, developed by EA Redwood Shores for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and Microsoft Windows. The player takes on the role of an engineer named Isaac Clarke, who battles a polymorphic, virus-like, alien infestation called the 'Corruption', which turns humans into grotesque alien 'Necromorphs', on board a stricken interstellar mining ship. A sequel to the game is already in development

source from where i read it is Dead Space (video game - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia)

So.......YAY!

As i said in the other topic, i'd like to see more outdoor levels for a Dead Space 2. Like exploring a planet. I must admit that these indoor levels got a bit boring towards the end. I also think chapter 12 could've been done better.

Dead Space was a very good game, but there's still room for improvements. I am hoping this was the birth of a new survival horror franchise that will go on for a while now.

I got to admit, I enjoyed the planet level more than being on the ship, it gets a little tenative after a while but it was still a great experiance. I hope to see more about their reasons for bio-engineering the marker and what their reasons for in the sequel because it sounds like it was made for BOW weaponary. Can't wait.

The final level was my favourite. It's a very good game but they should have picked up on the fact it was repetitive environments. I thought the military ship would be different, but it was exactly the same. I find that fact can make the game quite taxing sometimes as you're playing through the same thing.

Exactly. I remember when i specifically asked them how they prevent the environments from bein monotonous and they mentioned that the ship consists of many different locations, then again you can only do so much on a spaceship i guess. Sure the locations differed, but it was very similar. The last, lets say 3-4 chapters should've taken place on the planet already imo. That last level was not enough, at least for me.

well i dont really mind all that as long as they keep it claustrophobic.

its what the game should be all about , so i dont really care much about it being on the surface of a planet or inside a derelict ship as long as EA doesnt turn it into another RE4.

ISSIAC IS DEAD! jk lol
i don't him to be dead though but i want a different character to play and that person to talk i'm tired of all the mute characters first Jak (prior 2 and 3) and Link.

I hope it comes out this fall because i am very impatient but i really want them to take their time on it so maybe i can wait but i'm not waiting 4 years like i am for RE5 i swear!

I agree on the fact that the environments were monotonous and repetetive, but really thats what it'd be like on a space colony ship so i dont mind.
I'm hoping you still play as Isaac, I want to know what happened to him
Exploring a planet would be great, but maybe too big?
