Default SH: Shattered Dreams- The possible greatest Survival Horror game ever?

Damn
I just heard news for what could be the greatest horror game of all time...

Silent Hill: Shattered Memories
For the Wii

It monitors everything you do in the game. And I'm not talking good or bad decisions, I'm talking everything... What you look for first, what you explore, how you treat your enemies, how you think.

And it uses this to do multiple things:
!.) It decides how the game plays out for you. Depending on some of your early decisions, when you arrive at Silent Hill you could either enter a Bar or a restaurant.
2.) It decides how characters interact with you
3.) It keeps a psych profile on you and it begins to create the enemies into nightmares that you will fear.

Not only that
But you have a flashlight... and a cell phone. That's it... no melee weapons or guns.

There's no files in the game, but if you take pictures with your cell phone, you may receive certain texts or if you take a picture of a special colored swing set, the photo may turn up with a girl on the swing.

The AI are smart. If you try to jump a fence, they will rip you off it. They will hunt you down and they will wait for you. They will ambush you and flank you or herd you. Lucky for you, your phone will serve as the radios in the prior game.

The Wii remote is the key component to this game. You control where your flash light goes by moving the remote around and the static indicating an enemy ahead comes from your remote in real life.

The change from small town to hell is all real time as well and the effects and visuals in this game is said to be amazing. Especially the lighting... you can get shadows by flashing your flashlight at a snowflake! A BLOODY SNOWFLAKE!

This game is what the Survival Horror genre needs right now, to recover from the prior SH titles and RE 4 & 5. I nearly pissed myself when I learned about this game, I was that excited for it.

Also, regarding the new SH, the psychological profile is very interesting. I'd like to see what kind of things do what.
Is it a simple system: item hounds get this monster, run-and-gunners get this kind and the avoiding type gets another type?
If it's a good enough system, it could considerably up the replay value. SH is the only game that's ever messed with my head to the point that I was checking my closet before I went to bed. I could see this doing much the same.
I'm really interested in the monsters. Has anyone else read The Book of Lost Memories?
It details what all the monsters represent in the first 4 games. It's very interesting especially SH2 regarding James. I'd hope for something like that for this game. Whether it's a code at the end of the game that shows why you got certain monsters and then you check online or if the information was ingame or in a strategy guide.

It looked so much better on the PC. Even for back then. Hell on my high-end PC-that I overheated recently-it still looks damn good. But the controls on the PC were so horrible. Luckily it wasn't action oriented at all. What did you prefer? The console or PC version?

A high end PC always tops any console , so PC all the way. I agree that survival horrors are best played with controllers , im glad theres the USB plug and play controllers available out there.

"Whenever it looks like a series has run out of gas, it’s always worth trying to do a remake. A second stab at a previous title worked for Capcom with its Resident Evil series. The GameCube remake brought some fresh ideas to the franchise and reinvigorated a fan base that was treading water.
After a couple of less-than-spectacular sequels, Konami is going this route for its own survivor-horror series. In Silent Hill: Shattered Memories on the Wii, players will again take on the role of Harry Mason and he’ll still be looking for his missing daughter."

A remake of SH1 in other words , and im not surprised its a Wii only game. Like REmake for the ´Cube , and the upcoming rumor of a Resident Evil 2 remake on the Wii , it seems Nintendo has the fucking monopoly on great games being remade strictly for its consoles.....................SIGH.

Let's just say that I'm inches away from going on a Nintendo sucks rant. But I won't. Because really who cares.
What does matter is that I'm not to keen on playing as Harry again. It was fun the first time but Harry just might be the dumbest protagonist in any video game ever. Oh no wait that'd be his daughter Heather in SH3 lol.
Maybe it was just the voice actor, idk. Also, with all th psych profiles and monsters it could make rehashing the game a lot of fun.
Nintentdo sucks. I'm out.
